In XP Home -- go to Control Panel, Power Options and input "never" for your standby mode. Judith I have been searching in the help section and find a standby and hibernate. I have not figured out which mine is doing but I think it is standby and that standby is synonymous with sleep. Is that right folks? Anyway I still don't know how to make it quit doing it.
