I don't know much about cell phones and don't even own one now. I'll give
it a shot anyway...
Does Windows give you any indication that it even knows you plugged it in?
I'm assuming it connects to USB port and usually Windows pops up a
notification in the system tray area that it found new hardware connected.
Also, can you plug it into another PC to see if it recognizes it? If no go
on another PC, then I would assume it's the cable or phone itself. Check
the cable on both ends to look for damage.

anyone know why windows won't recognize cell phone?? I have in program that
was matched to cell phone. windows refuses to recognize...WHAT do I do to
