I am using Outlook express 6.0 and Internet explorer. I used AVG on my last computer, before I put winXP on it. I feel it is important for e-mails to be scanned for every e-mail account on my system. So many viruses come in through e-mails. and especially since it is my daughter and son on the other identities - and my hubby! who is not that knowledgeable. I've not had a problem with my Norton scanning all identities on my last computer. Norton is still on it. My daughter will eventually get that computer. I use AVG with T-bird and Opera's email client and with Eudora. I've never worried about whether it scanned each identity, but it has scanned anything that comes into the computers so I figure it's doing its job. 2 things I've found that I like about AVG are its small resource usage and its method of updating. AVG is my primary AV program and I recommend it highly. If you don't find out what's wrong, you may have similar problems with any AV program. What OS, email client, etc. are you using? And what is your system's general specs? CPU, RAM and disk space.
