-=PCTechTalk=- Re: read only cd -RW's? deleting files

I have deleted files from cd-rw's and them continued using them to add and
delete files.

Hope this helps. the RW disks cost more..(both DVD & CD) but I try to find
them on sale. This way I can backup and add to backups as I wish too.

Certain CD-RW software (such as Prasi abCD) will allow you to
selectively delete files and folders from the disc, but only if that
disc was originally formatted with the same software.

The different types of ReWriter software (Prasi, Roxio's, Windows
XP's, etc.) do not communicate with each other. Because of this,
you'll find that RW discs do not "travel well" between different
systems, which is one very good reason to ditch your RW discs and
stick with single or multi-session CD-Rs. Don't rely on CD-RW discs
for important backups.
