well so much for thinking I could outsmart a computer - it didn't work 
:-(  Like I said there has to be something that was put in by Panda into the 
registry itself but I wouldn't have a clue how to find it to remove it.  So 
guess I'll go back to administrative tools, put the ##$%# password in, get 
annoyed when I have to reboot and grin and bear it :-)  Dolores
