    As I've mentioned, I've never come across this particular problem 
before.  User Accounts is the only place where you can actually add or 
remove a user's system password and no other passwords should be dependent 
on that one's existence.  Having said that, I could understand if the 
problem was related to Microsoft's TweakUI powertoy which includes a section 
where you can tell Windows to automatically fill in the username and 
password every time the system boots.  If you remove the password, but fail 
to change the setting in TweakUI, there might be some confusion for Windows 
when it tries to boot up.  The only problem with that is that it's a very 
different problem than what you're fighting here.

    I'll keep trying to locate info on any relationship between the user 
password and Scheduled Tasks, but don't expect me to find much, if anything. 
This may turn out to be one of those very odd bugs that have never been seen 
(or reported) and are unable to be reproduced (because perhaps it's due to 
some strange file corruption).

    I'll reply to this if I find anything.         :O)
