I defrag at least once a week whether it needs it or not, right after I do a 
scan, depending on the how the critter is running. If it gets sluggish then 
I do it whenever. and I do BOTH scans. Usually that clears up things.

Hi Jo Ann,

I'm sure you already know this but I'll mention it anyway just in case.

I've had the same problem and knew I had plenty of free space so I went
ahead and ran all my cleaning programs including my anti spy and virus
programs.  Then I Defragged even though XP told me it didn't need one.
After all that it loaded with no problem.

Just a though.
