Bob, Don't think that's the problem since the Athlon computer has a decent AGP card and my Dell only has built in video. Not long ago I had a game loaded and it suddenly started hanging a little and the mouse would skip sometimes while I was playing the game. This puzzled me since as I said before, I have a good pc with lots of space and is quite fast. I didn't think it should be doing that. Come to find out, it was my video card. I had to get a better one and then the game ran fine and never acted up again. You might want to look at your video card also. However, I don't know if a video card would present the problem you're having.
