-=PCTechTalk=- Re: pctechtalk Digest V3 #144

I just bought a 320 GB external hard drive... Acomdata for $189 after a $40
rebate.

It has a button on it you can push to start your automatic backup. Includes
the software. I did buy it to backup all my other hard drives, so this was
attractive to me..as was the price. It can be used as a USB 2.0 or a
Firewire Drive. I am using it as a Firewire drive.

We just purchased a 250 GB USB 2.0 external drive by Iomega for $160 after a
$30 rebate.

Both were purchased at Fry's Electronics.

I would also recommend watching the weekly ads for:

Fry's Electronics - www.Outpost.com
CompUSA: www.CompUSA.Com
Best Buy www.BestBuy.com
Office Depot: www.OfficeDepot.com
Tech Depot: www.TechDepot.com (They are the Tech part of Office Depot)
Office Max: www.OfficeMax.com

For Legacy machines - (Not the newest on the market) for supplies, parts,
etc. Incredible prices - reliable company - sign up for Newsletter. You get
maybe two emails a week. No calls or pressure.) They sometimes have free
shipping or $4.99 shipping on the WHOLE order.

Hope this helps......

Why don't you check Pricewatch.com ? I've been using several USB 250GB WD
hard drives with some different enclosures from MemoryLabs.com with no
problems. And, the last one I got was for $138 total, including the USB
cable!
