  HI mjh

I would like to know how to sell something on ebay. I have some things I
could sell and could use the extra cash. I know this is offtopic but is it a
  long process to do this.

  1. sign up for an ebay account AFTER you have decided on your ebay ID which
  can be your email name
  2. sign up for paypal...... read ALL the new account stuff a couple of
times FIRST, so you know what info you will need. THis is the fastest and
easiest
way to get paid for the stuff you sell.
  3. ebay has a management tool called TurboLister. Download and install that.
THis will help you design your ebay listing.
  4. spend time on ebay in the categories of the stuff you want to sell to get
a feeling for how others WHO ARE SUCCESSFUL sellers layout their listings and
  do their pricing and shipping
  5. gather your goodies.
  6. create very specific and detailed descriptions of your items including
  any model numbbers.
  7. take pictures of anythhing that needs a picture to illustrate it and is
not available on a mfg website where you can grab it.
  8. Start up Turbolister and design the listing for each of your items....
starting with the least valuable first to get the hang of things (also known
as
  experience)

Have fun!!!! Turn some of your stuff into $$$.
