believe it or not some routers don't work as they are advertised.

about a year ago I ran through several routers and found problems with 
each, tried different stores in different towns hoping to get one from a 
batch that actually worked, I ended up returning them all. After about 
10 months I ordered a new router and it has been working fine though it 
doesn't support all the features the advertizing/manual says it does,
