Have you checked the device manager to make sure the drivers are working fine?
You can try removing the mouse driver in device manager, and restarting. Then,
the drivers should reinstall.

my mouse doesnt move at all. I tried removing/uninstalling with the new
driver from the net but i still cannot move the mouse. I tried other
mouse but still no to my avail. I dual boot linux and windows and the
mouse works with linux but not with windows. I have a logitech mouse.
