-=PCTechTalk=- Re: monitor screen flickering alot

Cristy,
I had a feeling it wasn't something within your computer. I've also
been wondering if you're getting a full supply of power from the wall outlet
or surge protector.

A standard surge protector can only absorb a certain amount of excess
energy before it wears out. Those lights tell you the level of protection
that is left within the suppressor. As the protection gets used up, the
light will start to flicker. When the protection is completely used up, the
light goes out. If your protector has no lights, it's no longer a protector
and is now just a multi-outlet extension cord.

Try cycling the surge protector off & on once and see if that helps.
Either way, you need to replace it with one that will actually protect the
system, but that simple test may reeal that it's the used up surge protector
that's causing the problem rather than bad power from the electric company.

Peace,
Gman
