Press F1
Type: heading styles (or styles or headings or similar)in search box
Click Search
Scroll to "Style basics in Word"
There are dozens of help files and videos and demos about styles and formats
etc.

Does anyone here use microsoft word 2007? If so, I need help. For my
headings, they keep turning yellow and I want them black, something to do
with heading styles that is set not like I want.
