-=PCTechTalk=- Re: microsoft office project standard?

HI Sandi,

I knew about open office but had not really tried it, there is no difference
between that and microsoft office 2007 or something like that?

I may try downloading it today to check it out. I am on cable today. My
sister could use the open office too I think.

Where I work, the microsoft office professional suite is being offered for
$179.00 and I saw another similar sale for $150.00.

The Microsoft office project standard through my work is $59.00 but I am not
sure if it includes all the word, powerpoint, excel, and that, not really
sure what programs are in it. It lists for about $499.00 though.

Cristy, I don't know the answer but I just saw that "NothingButSoftware.com
has a Black Friday special on Microsoft Office 2007 for home and student
edition. I think the price was $79.00. Also Open Office has it all and is
free for the downloading. If you are on dialup it would take way too long.
I bought a disk from Amazon for about $7.00 that had Open Office and a lot
of other good stuff on it but not the very latest edition.
