-=PCTechTalk=- Re: microsoft anti spyware

It does help, thank you. I never would have found that. What I
was really looking for is where they set the default for Claria
software and other adware to ignore instead of delete so I can
change it back. Has anybody been able to find that? I suspect
that might be in the definitions file and not accessible to
users.

from the looks of it when you do a scan it will say ignore but
maybe I'm wrong -- you will have the option to ignore,
quarantine or delete it from your computer once the scan is
complete. After my first scan I don't have any type of spyware
on my computer. I quarantined it first then deleted it a couple
of days later when nothing went bump in the night on my
computer.

Another suggestion would be to look at the advanced options I
gave you every day or weekly and see if these programs snuck
into your system somehow. And if they did, either delete or
block them. I don't think MS can stop them from showing on your
system when you go into their advanced mode in their antispyware
program. It has to show you what's running in either I gave
you.

At least that's what I intend to do.

___________
MS AntiSpyware:

It looks like you can find out what to remove in Advanced
Tools, System Explorers, Running Processes.

In this section, it gives you the ability to remove or learn
more about the process running.

Or another way is through Advanced Tools, System Explorer,
Startup programs. Highlight each to have MS Anti-Spyware tell
you what each is. Then make your decision to block or
permanently remove the startup program. Also has an option to
send to SpyNet for analysis.
