Hi Christine,

FYI, I had a noise  from my PC a while ago and I cleared it by cleaning all
3 fans that I have in my PC. They were full of dust and one of them was 
causing that noise.
But, on my PC it was possible to say that the noise was coming from inside
the PC and not the speaker(s).
They are a bit difficult to access and taking apart, but it is possible and 
so far
the noise did not come back.
