I find that trying to get rid of junk email directly through Outlook Express
is hopeless however, for those of you who use Charter for your ISP, you can
go to 'update.charter.net' to set up your account from there and it will do
much better for you. First type http://update.charter.net, then enter your
login ID and Password and click submit.
In the next window on the left side click 'check my email'. Then, on the
next screen in the box that reads 'check your email' click on what ever link
is the one you use. For instance, my email address is rec46@xxxxxxxxxxxx
If the last part of your address is charter.net, then that is what you click
on. In the next screen you will have to login again with your username and
password. In the next screen look on the lift side and click on 'options'.
The rest of it is very easy to figure out.

I hope this helps. As I said before, by doing all this, it has really
worked well. For instance, I'm sure by now most everyone here knows of
Marten Bevelander. By using these particular options, I no longer get
anything from him.

By the way, I was able to setup a fictitious email account for the purpose
of seeing if Marten was still around and all my email came back to me saying
that no one by that name has an account with rogers.com. It looks like they
finally kicked him out. Let's hope so anyway.

I hope what I have written here will help you with getting rid of spam. It
has helped me. I'm sure other ISP's other then Charter.net has the same
type services though I have no idea how to access them.

Regards,
Bob
