We're currently in a free trial of one of the paid options, although
dad (line is in his name) is strongly considering dropping CW
altogether...I might end up having to upgrade his modem to v92/v44.

No, because under normal circumstances, they'd be downloaded to the
user's machine.  If we can't access them from the CW applet, one
could open Explorer, surf to the \Program Files\CallWave\Calls
folder, and find the call(s) roughly the same time(s) as appearing
in the applet, hopefully there.  Of course, sometimes circumstances
are not normal, tho...
