-=PCTechTalk=- Re: internet access sign in question and outlook express question

Cristy,
Go back to the Connections tab in the Internet Options property sheet
and look at the 3 check boxes under where it shows your Earthlink account.
Make sure it's set to "Dial whenever a network connection is not present".
Your third sentence told me what the problem was with automatically dialing
the Earthlink account. :O)

As far as preventing the toolbar or other apps from starting up, that's
a different story. I used to use Earthlink, but I never used their bundle
of junk to connect. In fact, I never installed it. Instead, I just set up
the connection manually by giving it the local numbers and my username and
password. That's ALL you need to connect to ANY ISP through a dial-up
connection. If you're really unhappy with the toolbar, I can walk you
through uninstalling all of their stuff and setting up the connection
manually if you want. Just let me know and give me some time to type it
out. lol

Peace,
GMan
