Cristy,
The first problem sounds like there has been a change in what Windows
considers to be your default connection. Go to Control Panel > Network
Connections and right click on each to see whether your dial up or high
speed connection is set as the default. The one set to default will have a
line that says something like "Cancel as default connection". If it shows
up on the Cox connection, leave it alone. If it shows up on the high speed
connection, click on it to reset the default to the Earthlink one.
If the previous directions were not of any help, go back into Control
Panel and open up the Internet Options applet. Click on the Connections tab
and look for your Earthlink setup in the main list area. It should show
that it's set as the Default. Let us know if it doesn't.
As far as your email password is concerned, you'll need to change the
password in OE as well. With OE open, go to Tools > Accounts and double
click on the account you're looking to fix. Click on the Servers tab and
replace the existing password (shown as ******) with your new password. OK
your way out of there to seal the deal. :O)
Peace,
GMan
