Hello Sandi,
I think they meant it would work if you have a PCMCIA card slot on your PC.
I have bought a couple add on PCMCIA card adaptors to use on my desktop
PC's.
from Goggle:
PC Card Slot Desktop Adapters for PCI and ISA BusUSB Adapters For PCMCIA
and CardBus cards.
Whatever peripheral you want to connect, Elan has a product to help.

G, just picked up the data card for 14 day trial. A quick look over makes
me think I cannot use this on my desktop even though they said it could
work. When I picked it up one of the workers commented that it might not
work on your PC. That was the first I had heard that my PC might not be
compatible. I have a disk (CD) to run first and then I am to insert the
aircard modem into the card slot. My PC has no card slot. So have I been
lead down the garden path????
