Scott here. I thought maybe I could add a little to this conversation about
protection. I run XP Home with SP2. I use every bit of protection I can get. I
use the XP firewall, Zone Alarm, and also the DSL router has a firewall built
into it. For antivirus, I use Avast Home edition, which is a FREE download for
home PC users. I also have Spybot S & D, Spyware Blaster, and Ad-AwareSE. Also
all those are FREE. One can find most of these programs thru here:
www.spychecker.com . As far as the Avast antivirus, it is the best I have used
to date. It found things that AVG and Norton didn't touch. I, to this date
however, have never put McAfee anywhere near my machine, so I don't know about
it.
Anyhow, I am just hoping to be helpful by sharing this information with a cool
