-=PCTechTalk=- Re: firefox question

Gman,

I tried all you said below. The only thing that looked different was
C:\PROGRA~1\FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE -requestPending -osint -url "%1" had the
word "Mozil" in it instead of the first mention of the word FIREFOX. The
only other thing that was different was when I clicked on advance it was set
on "edit" not "open". So I changed it. It would not take, so then I set as
default and changed it. I thought it took. I did this on the files of type
for htm and html. When I opened up my windows explorer and went to My
Network Connections, then into my filebox for my school, I tried to open
html files in there and they would not open when I clicked on them and still
shows the firefox icon picture on them.

I then tried going into windows explorer and right clicked on open with IE
and it opened but I could not set it to always open with that, I tried. By
the way when you said to cancel out at the end, dont you have to click on ok
for changes to take effect since I tried changing it from edit to open?

I am also still having a problem with a powerpoint show file in my filebox
when I open it to view it, my mouseover over one button seems ok, but when I
click on that button (action button) it pops up asking if I want to save or
dischard the changes grrr...I am pulling my hair out on this one. My
instructor also said clicking on these action buttons did not take him to a
new screen, but it does for me. I had copied and pasted the link from my
filebox to the student login submission page which is what we do.

I would like to send the file to someone so they can tell me if clicking on
each button takes them to another screen.

Christine
