-=PCTechTalk=- Re: firefox

This is not such a rookie questions....lots and lots of folks do not know
the answer and if I were not such an 'anal yst" about everything, I would
not know the answer either. (yes...I typed analyst with a space there
purposely. I am a fanatic about organization of files.... but, I have to
push the papers on my desk down so I can see my monitor..go figure! lol!)

If you look at your list of favorites, go between two items... this works
best in they are not in folders... and right click and select ARRANGE BY
NAME and that will sort your favorites list and should put the folders
first.

A little trick... If you have a folder whose name may start with an
R....(say for Rose...ha ha!) you can put a tilde ~ in front of the name.
Or you could use an ! or @ or # or $... etc.
This will make the symbol you put in front of the name be the first letter
(character) and it will be alphabetized according to that. So...put your
Rose first.
I have found..as far as I have used them, that this is the order the symbols
show up:

!
#
$
%
&
@
^
~

Now I did not do this scientifically, but I just renamed a bunch of folders
to see what happened. I have only used the ~ and ! before. But imagine
the possibilities. Of course..imagine the possibilities of using too many..
you would never find anything... ha ha! A scheme gone wild I tell ya! ha
ha!
Have fun.....
