-=PCTechTalk=- Re: error message

Sandi,
I don't think this has anything to do with anything on your system or
anything that you've done. We recently had a mass email problem with
numerous PCTT members bouncing like crazy for what appeared to be various,
unrelated reasons. My take on it is that one of the major Spam blocking
companies (the ones hired by the ISPs to handle their email scanning)
updated their equipment &/or software and it has been having unforeseen
negative consequences on certain email systems throughout the internet.
Those who's ISPs use a different Spam blocking company wouldn't be affected
by such a scenario (and a majority of our membership was indeed, not
bouncing).

If I'm correct, you may simply be an unfortunate victim and about the
only thing you could do is to complain to your ISP to figure out the
problem. The previous time it happened here on the list, it was much worse.
I contacted the fine folks at Freelists.org, they checked into it and
determined that their OWN Spam blocking affiliate had just switched to a
different software that was causing the glitches. They dropped that program
and the problem went away as fast as it had appeared.

Peace,
GMan
