There are three approaches you can take.
The first would be to simply remove one account from each of the systems.
When done, one computer will get all of the email for one of the accounts
and the other computer will get all of the other account's email. This
arrangement assures that you will receive every email that successfully
reached your two email servers without any overlap of coverage.
The second would be to go into the Options for one of the systems and tell
both accounts to "Leave messages on the server" after downloading them.
That computer will be able to download new messages, but those emails will
still be there when the other system goes online and tries to download them,
too. After the second system receives them, it will still send the default
"go ahead and delete what I've received" message from your second system's
client. The problem with this arrangement is that if you first check for
new messages with the second system, the first system will never see them.
The third option is to just stop using one of one systems for ANY email
duties. This is the simplest one and the advice that I use myself. I only
receive email on my main system. All other systems are clear of email
accounts, address books and anything else associated with email use. I do,
however, install my favorite browser and other internet related items on the
secondary systems.
Peace,
Gman
