Lil, thanks for the suggestion.  I have no idea how to go about doing that. 
I will probably just use gmail to send attachments since I found out that 
will work.  Also, since it seems to be a common problem I am inclined to 
think it has something to do with a recent update.  And although Norton says 
it is not something they have done (not their problem) I don't quite believe 
that.  I have had several bumps in the road since renewing Norton anti-virus 
2006 and all seemed to be related to Norton.
