I do believe Linux is free but not sure.  I am one of those
people who expects my OS to be error free (yeah right but then I
woke up).  Anyhoo, I notice a lot of my programs use things
inherent to Microsoft as part of their programs.

Won't having Linux prevent them from operating correctly?
