-=PCTechTalk=- Re: copyright/music on computer question

I don't think so. I tried to copy once just to see if it would work but it
didn't. BUT if you know how I spose........things is to not get caught.
THATs where the trouble is. And besides THAT it's like any other copyright.
It' just plain not fair to the author. Or honorable..

This really gets complicated doesnt it? So if I "loan" a music CD to
someone and they return it, it is ok not knowing whether they had it copied
or loaned it to someone else, especially like tape casettes. I guess now a
days they make CD's so they cant be copied though. ;0

No expert here but I would say yes it would be copyright infringement..
because anyone can then reuse it for their own use not having paid for
it?...It may be only for personal use but once it leaves YOUR hands it could
then be used by anyone else...

Hi, can someone tell me if I am paying to download music and want to put one
of those songs in a personal photo slide show to send to family members
through email, would that violate copyright? Does anyone know?

Thanks,
it is for personal use only.
