-=PCTechTalk=- Re: computer virus problems

From the folks at Malwarebytes on their own forums:

********************

Certain technologies in 64-bit editions of Windows are making it almost
impossible for us to make the protection module 64-bit compatible. As far as
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware itself, it can still scan and remove on 64-bit
editions of Windows, but note that none of our drivers actually work with
64-bit editions of Windows (not a huge deal since malware has the same
problem).

********************

Yes you can download MBAM and run it on 64bit but there will be no realtime
protection.
GT500 and I are running it on 64bit systems too.

********************

The protection module errors out when it tries to load.

********************

So, you can install it and run it manually, but there is no point in
buying it for its 'always on' protection since that part won't work in a
64-bit environment. You can always add the app to your Task Scheduler to
remind you to run it once a day, twice a week, etc.. Just remember to
manually update it before telling it to run a scan.

Peace,
Gman
