If I understand correctly you have 4 ATA/EIDE hard drives mounted in an
enclosure that includes a firewire device so the enclosure can be plugged
into any computer with a firewire port. The firewire device has failed and
you now want to be able to keep the hard drives in the enclosure and plug
them into a different computer that does not have a firewire port.
If that is not correct, please explain again exactly what you have.
