My computer is a Gateway and I do not want my system to ever
hibernate or go into standby.  Although I do have it set for the
screensaver to come on after so many minutes of inactivity.
This was done by going into Control Panel and clicking on
Display, then Screensaver.

I changed my other settings by going into Control Panel and
Clicking on Power Options.  Even though everything is set to
Never, my computer will still shut off automatically when I
click on Start, Shut down.

I do have to turn off my monitor though.

So what am I missing in this thread?
