another note, I purchased and installed pinnacle Studio Plus Titanium 
Edition version 10.5 editing software for my camorder movies.  In looking at 
it at their site online, it would seem to me they have a capture device in 
the software after you install it, but I could not get my footage transfered 
using that software, it just kept saying connecting to hard drive, this was 
with usb port not firewire.
