thanks
gman, I am running winamp 5.31
windows xp pro sp2
I have all my mp3s on a 120 gig external usb drive, when I turned it on with
winamp loaded it asked me if I wanted to make this a portable device or
something to that extent basicly it asked if my usb drive was a portable
device or not and if I wanted to use it in the winamp library.
I clicked yes buy accident when I ment to click no.
at the time I was using winamp 5.30
I can not load up anything from my usb external like play mp3s from it or
control winamp when it is turned on.
it causes winamp to quit responding.
thinking I could fix this I removed winamp 5.30
and reinstalled it with no luck.
winamp 5.31 came out a few days after this happened. tried this new version
with no luck.
I need to get this portable drive listing out of winamps library sense it
wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.
any ideas what could be causing this to happen and a fix?
thanks
Hank
