Most people that use nLite, use it to make an unattended install disk, which unattended mode skips Console and Repair prompts. The fully attended option should allow the Console. I'm not sure about the other levels of the unattended mode, but it should be pretty easy to find in a google search. But then again, I don't know what logic (if any) MS uses to determine if the install disk is compatible enough with your system to use the Console. I would think the Console is probably easier to have compatibility than the Repair options. Try the original and see what happens. If you're feeling adventurous, you can use your original install disk along with Microsoft's method of slipstreaming to create your own more official SP2 or SP3 install disk. Just remember that SP2 contains SP1, but SP3 does not. If you start with a Gold edition (i.e. no SP's), you'll want to first slipstream SP1 and then SP3. If it's already an SP1 or SP3, you only need to slip in SP3. Some nights, I guarantee you that my swiss cheese smells worse than your limburger. ;) Peace, Gman http://www.thevenusproject.com/index.php "The only dumb questions are the ones we fail to ask" ----- Original Message ----- From: <recklessmaverick@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 06, 2009 10:01 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: XP Pro Command Console > Would this command console be accessible using the nLite install disk > (with SP3 slipstreamed) that installed the XP in question?
