You are fast approaching the point where either somebody else here will have
to chime in or you will need to get some local help.

I read a few results of a Google search and they all mentioned drivers,
memory or the file system.

I would consider the following...

Remove all external devices (printers, scanners, cameras etc) except your
keyboard, mouse and monitor. Uninstall all of the drivers for them.
Reboot. If the system works, reinstall your external devices and drivers
one at a time, rebooting after each, until the system fails. If you have
the choice, use the driver on your devices install disk instead of the
generic Micro$oft driver.

Please check your owner manual. Memory should be installed in a specific
bank if using only one bank. Also, some computers have a single slot per
bank and some have TWO slots per bank. You must fill both slots in a two
slot bank.

If you have two banks of memory, remove the memory from one bank. Reboot.
Remove that memory and install the other memory in its place. Reboot. If
both work OK reinstall memory to both banks. If you have only one bank of
memory and it is a two slot bank, swap the memory sticks around. Reboot. If
it works, you could have a bad memory stick.

I do not know how to troubleshoot any possible file system problems. I
would beg, borrow or buy a spare harddrive and do a clean install of your
basic system (leave off all external devices) on it to see if that fixes the
problem. If it does I would suspect a corrupted file system, a corrupted
OS or a bad hard drive.

PLEASE.... if you do not have a backup for your pictures and files on your
original harddrive think TWICE or even three times before using it instead
of a spare hard drive. A clean install of your operating system will wipe
out everything on the drive.

I do not know anything about your unique computer or your abilities. Use
your judgement. Exercise caution. Get a second opinion. And please read
your owner manual for specifics on removing and installing components and
follow all safety procedures outlined there.

For my Google searches I used the following key words:

"bad pool caller" (with the quote marks)
 bad_pool_caller
