I don't know what is happening or why it is happening.  Do you now
or did you ever have any version of Norton installed on your
computer?  Is/Was it configured to provide real time protection?
Are the attachments you are trying to open perhaps in a quarantine
folder or a proprietary SPAM folder of some sort?  Have you checked
all of your security settings in OE to insure none are set to block
opening or displaying files or urls?

Every single time I try to open an attachement, url etc in OE, up
comes this box that says Windows installer--what I am asking to be
done needs Norton Virus 2006 and to please put in the cd for
it...???? WHAT is missing that this keeps coming up? and only in OE?
FRUSTRATED!!!!!
