I just want to update you on the XP SP2 update. I have Windows XP Media
Center 2004 Operating system which is built on XP Pro. When I ordered the
cd, it was the XP pro CD that was ordered...so..I hope I did the right
thing...:)

When I went to windows update...it originally said it was a 75 mb download,
but, when it did the download...it said it was 104 mb. Interesting.

I did update since my last email below. Granted, it has not been a long
time, but I have not noticed any differences on my computer.

My email looks the same. My stationery I send and receive both seem to work
fine... music and motion.

I see websites fine... My Norton 'appears' to be ok. That includes my
password manager.

I do not see Windows Messenger on my computer. I had MSN messenger 6.2
before and it is still there and works fine.
You can make yourself invisible, or not available so you do not get the
constant popups. You can set it not to give you info when others get on
line..if you do not want the popups when those on your list log on to MSN
messenger.

Wish me well....lol!

I 'think' you mean windows messenger.... MSN messenger is different..but
LOOKS the same...

my other half is having a devil of a time getting rid of it.

I forgot how.... I know I used the add/remove programs and I am not sure
that actually did it.

But, I know it was discussed on this list.

my understanding it that you just need to change settings and you can view
stationery.
What concerns me - it sounds as though it will install msn messenger again -
so
your computer will once again start calling home every 5 minutes. They
obviously
haven't made it possible to either not install their instant messenger
program -
or to be able to uninstall it.
