In a word, Yes!

If you intend to install IE7, wait until after SP3 goes on.  If you do it 
beforehand, you'll lose the ability to uninstall IE7, should the need ever 
arise.  And avoid any urge to test out the IE8 beta.  There are still too 
many serious bugs in the latest beta.
