Have you tried right clicking on an empty spot on the taskbar
and choosing
Tile - either Vertical or Horizontal, whichever will work best
for what you
want to do? Have the window you want on the left hand side
showing on top.
Then don't forget to reverse the 'tile' by right clicking once
again and
choose Undo Tile
