I hate WMP errors. Anything that's integrated into the OS (WMP, IE, OE, etc)
can always be difficult when it starts crashing.
If the uninstall and reinstall (as already suggested) doesn't work, the only
thing I can suggest is to download an alternative player. My pick of choice has
always been Winamp.

Let us know what happens.

| Hiyas.
| It's one of those all of a sudden's.
| I can't get Win Media 9 to play anything!
| Video, or audio. be it locally or remotely.
| It keeps coming up with Windows Media has encountered an unknown error.
| With a close button and a web help button.
| Now knowing that people will ask, "Did you click the web help button"?
| And for the sake of saving time answering with "Yes I did and it was
| usless". I did just that.
| I got, Error# C00D11CD
| Sorry, no more help is available for this problem at this time.
| Great eh?
| I normally dont' use the thing to play anything but this cool computer talk
| radio show I've found online only plays in win media and real one. I'd
| prefer to use win media.
| Any suggestions?
| I've done the check for player updates from the help menu. It found one
| installed and didnt' help.
| Not so long back I installed a codec pack, ACE Mega CoDecS Pack.
| everything is working sweetly apart from this thing.
| Cheers
| Barry
| I'm small, humble, but have fun.
