The HP Pavilion I had last (ran Windows Me) had one rescue disk. The
Pavilion I have now, which runs XP has the rescue on a part of the hard
drive. Not sure I'd know what to do if sommat went that wrong and surely if
its sommat major I'd not be able to access it anyway would I?

My almost four year old Pavilion has only one disk. I
understand that many of the latest HPs do not even
have a disk but include an image on the hard drive.
From bad to good to terrible. Today I would only buy a
made-to-order computer from a local shop and make sure
I get all of the disks with it. :-)
