Hi Greywoulf,
I have not used my Zip disk for a long time, since I got USB hard drives.
But if my memory serves me correctly they have some data written on them
when you buy them.
A readme file that tells you how they works, and 'I think' the drivers for
it so that you can use the disk on another computer.

I would delete all information from the disk before I started using them.

disks, you're gonna need 9..!!!  Which means either their software is full
of S**T, or else the quality control of the amount of storage available on
each of their disks is full of S**T...!!

And at the end if you can't run out and quick buy another disk, can't you
just end the back-up at the point you're at? Why no, because they tell you
if you cancel the back-up at this point (with 8 disks already written) then
NONE of the backup is any good and you can't use ANY of it!!!

The only other option is to go back and cut out some of the files from the
backup and start all over again, and then of course this is guesswork again
too  because their description of how many disks you're gonna need this time
again is still gonna be full of S**T ..!!!

I will NEVER, EVER, use ANYTHING made by IOmega again!!! I'm installing a
CDRW writer (as I currently only have CD-ROM) in my system now for back-ups,
just  to get rid of the IOmega crap! So hopefully, this will be my last BU
with their Zip JUNK!!

AND YOU CAN BET I DIDN'T BUY AN IOMEGA CDRW EITHER..!!!!

Ridiculous company, IMO...
