The fix is in the Power Options area of Control Panel. I'm not running
Vista just yet and I don't have access to my VM's, so you'll have to hunt
around a bit for the actual control. You're looking to uncheck anything
related to Hibernation and other sleep modes. You should also review the
options for how you want your system treated. I set mine to "Always On".
The result is that the system will power down my monitor and hard drive if
it doesn't detect activity after a certain persiod of time, but a simple
movement of the mouse brings them right back up.
Peace,
Gman
