I fell in love with Malwarebytes and opted to update to the paid version.
The difference is that the paid version automatically updates its definition
files and can be set on a schedule to scan every day at a given time.
I use the free version for scanning other folk's systems in the field and
find that it can identify and remove most infections in a single pass. I
then leave it on their systems so tha tthey can do occasional scans on their
own or I can use it myself during remote connections. The AM utilities that
worked so well just a year or two ago just can't seem to find nearly as much
as they used to and they are even worse at removing much of what they find
these days.
Peace,
Gman
