Bob,
I'm not sure on the telephone, although I plugged mine into the modem. It
seems like the handiest way if you are going to be answering while on the
computer. Be sure and check with their ISP and see if they support the V92
modem answer while online function. I found out too late mine didn't.

I'm seriously considering getting my folks a V.92 modem (their PC
came with a V.90).
For one of these to work optimally, i.e. be able to make/take voice
calls while online, is it true that I'd need to plug another
telephone into the modem, or could we just pick up on any of their
existing extensions?
