Do you just put a small dab on a soft rag? do you wipe it
off then?

Using Dawn on DVD works! I got a DVD from Netflix and the
scratches made it skip and then do a dead stop.
I figured it was already bad and I couldn't make it worse so
I
used Dawn Dish Soap and a soft rag. Well I got to watch the
rest of the movie and no more skipping.
So whoever gave this suggestion -- you have a big thank you.
