Hi Tori,
I have Norton Utilities Cleansweep, which has done a good job most
of the time.
But there are still some files it seems to miss.
Most reviews and comments I have read seem to recommend a registry cleaner
and manual deletion for 100% effectiveness.
Here are a few of good registry programs;

"RegCleaner is an easy to use program. With RegCleaner you can easily get
rid of those old and obsolete registry entries created by software that you
have destroyed ages ago. And by easily, I mean easily. You don=B4t have to
be any expert to use this program."

"CleanUp! is a powerful and easy-to-use application that removes temporary
files created while surfing the web, empties the Recycle Bin, deletes files
from your temporary folders and more."

"The Windows Registry Guide, formerly RegEdit.com, provides an extensive
range of registry tweaks, tricks & hacks for optimizing, enhancing and
securing the Windows operating system. "

Registrar Lite is a powerful and flexible freeware registry editor.
It offers background search and replace, a bookmark editor which allows you
to add descriptions to registry keys as well as advanced registry value data
editors which support all existing registry data types."

Mike ~ It is a good day if I learned something new.

What do you all consider the best of the 'uninstall' software? You know
one of the programs that makes sure all the 'left behind' pieces gets
removed when you uninstall a program.
Also, is there software to search out and find those pieces that have
already been left behind or in the registry (and that no longer point to
anything).
Needs to operate on Win98.
Thanks
Tori
