I'm assuming you're referring to just the icon name, correct? When the icon
is selected, that's when that colored box shows up. If its unselected, or
some other icon is selected, the NON-selected icon shouldn't have the
colored box. Is this the action that is NOT happening for you?

Yes...I know to rename the subject line...just a slip up on my part.
I have WinXP...I have tried everything.  I even downloaded 'Windowblinds' 
but I haven't installed it yet.
I guess with that program, one can get the transparent effect?
